Account Deletion – Iter

Iter (also known as "Iter: Shared Photo Albums") is a mobile application that lets you create and share photo albums. This page explains how you can request that your Iter account and associated data be deleted.
How to Request Account Deletion
Follow these steps to delete your Iter account and the data linked to it:
- Open the Iter app on your device.
- Sign in to your account if you are not already signed in.
- Go to Profile (bottom navigation).
- Tap Account.
- Tap Delete account.
- Confirm that you want to delete your account and understand that this action cannot be undone.
- If you signed in with email and password, enter your password to confirm.
- If you signed in with Google, you will be asked to sign in again with Google to confirm.
Alternative: If you cannot access the app (e.g. you no longer have the device or app), you may send an email to iterdevelopment@gmail.com with the subject “Account deletion request” and include the email address associated with your Iter account. We will process your request in accordance with our procedures.
What Data Is Deleted
When your account is deleted, the following data is permanently removed from our active systems:
- Your user profile (name, email, phone number)
- All albums you created or owned
- All photos you uploaded
- Your preferences (notifications, language, etc.)
- Any subscription or payment information stored in our systems (payment details are processed by Stripe; see their policy for their retention)
What Data May Be Retained
We may retain limited information for a longer period when required or permitted by law, including:
- Records needed for fraud prevention and security
- Records required for legal, tax, or regulatory compliance
- Records needed to enforce our terms of service or resolve disputes
Any such retention is limited to what is necessary and permitted by applicable law.
Additional Retention
- Unverified accounts: Accounts that have not verified their email within 30 days of registration may be automatically deleted.
- Backups: Deleted data may persist in backup systems for a limited time (typically up to 90 days) before it is overwritten. During that period, backups are not used for active processing.
